Terry's Theatre, Victorian theatre in Strand, London.
Located in the City of Westminster, Terry's Theatre featured three seating sections including pit, stalls, balcony, and dress circle for 800 spectators.
The theatre, designed by architect Walter Emden, opened its doors in 1887 on the former site of the Old Coal Hole public house.
The 1888 production of Arthur Wing Pinero's Sweet Lavender achieved 683 performances at Terry's Theatre, generating substantial revenue of 20,000 pounds.
The theatre operated under owner-manager Edward Terry, who previously performed as a leading comedian at the Royal Strand Theatre and Gaiety.
Frank Matcham completed structural improvements in 1905, before the building transformed into Grand Casino cinema and met demolition in 1923.
