Lamphey Bishop's Palace, Episcopal palace from medieval times in Lamphey, Wales.
The palace complex contains substantial walls, great halls, and private chambers spread across multiple structures built with local limestone blocks.
Bishop Henry de Gower transformed this residence between 1328 and 1347, creating a grand retreat for church officials traveling through Wales.
The palace design reflects the authority of medieval bishops who maintained residences comparable to those of nobility throughout Wales.
Visitors can explore the ruins daily from 10 AM to 4 PM, with free admission and a dedicated parking area for 15 vehicles.
The architectural remains include a great hall measuring 82 feet in length, which served as the primary entertainment space for distinguished guests.
