Hinchliffe Stadium, Historic baseball venue in New Jersey
Hinchliffe Stadium is one of the few remaining stadiums in the country associated with Negro league baseball.
The Olmsted Brothers, the architectural firm responsible for the design of the stadium, were also involved in designing the grounds of the White House and Central Park.
It played a significant role culturally since it was considered a landmark associated with the civil rights movement.
Despite being open to the public, the stadium has been listed on America's Most Endangered Historic Places because of deterioration after decades of neglect.
Hinchliffe Stadium is one of only two baseball stadiums that are currently National Historic Landmarks.
