Jazzhus Montmartre

Jazzhus Montmartre is a small jazz club on Store Regnegade street with dark wooden interiors and traditional decor throughout. The room holds approximately 30 seats and is set up for regular live concerts.

The venue opened in 1959 and quickly became a destination for internationally renowned jazz musicians from the United States and Europe. A major renovation in 2010 preserved the original design while updating the technical equipment.

The venue serves as a gathering place for jazz enthusiasts from across the city, where live performances happen every evening. It reflects how deeply jazz is woven into Copenhagen's music culture.

Plaster masks created by artist Mogens Gylling in 1959 adorn the walls, and replicas were crafted during the 2010 renovation to maintain this artistic detail. These sculptures remain a distinctive visual element of the space.
