Storkeegen

Storkeegen is a remarkable oak tree located in Nordskoven, a dense forest area within Frederikssund Municipality in Denmark. The tree stands among other ancient oaks that characterize this woodland landscape.

This oak has stood in the forest for hundreds of years, witnessing the transformation of the Danish landscape over time. It belonged to a special group of exceptionally old oaks that were among the oldest specimens in Northern Europe.
