Ungdomshuset

Ungdomshuset is a large cultural venue in Bispebjerg that hosts concerts, dance performances, and artistic workshops. The multistory building contains multiple rooms suited for different types of events and can accommodate hundreds of visitors.

The center emerged from a long tradition of social activism and relocated to its current location in 2008. This move followed months of demonstrations after the previous venue was shut down.

The venue embodies principles of openness and mutual respect, with explicit rules against discrimination and violence that welcome everyone. The range of artistic expressions shown here reflects a community that values diversity and creative freedom.

Events take place regularly throughout the week, with concerts, yoga sessions, and art workshops on the schedule. Visitors should check in advance since locations within the building and timing can vary based on what is happening.

The center is run entirely by volunteers and hosts the annual K-town Hardcore Fest each year. This festival draws performers and audiences from many different countries.
