Lego House, Modern architectural building in Billund, Denmark.
Lego House is a modern building in Billund made up of interconnected blocks spanning 12,000 square meters throughout. Inside are exhibition areas and experience zones filled with roughly 25 million Lego bricks for visitors to explore.
Designed by the Bjarke Ingels Group, the building opened in September 2017 as a new home for the Danish company in its hometown. This opening marked an important moment in the company's presence at its main location.
The four colored zones inside encourage hands-on creation, from building with bricks to programming robots and making stop-motion films. Visitors experience how play connects to learning and problem-solving in unexpected ways.
The building is fully wheelchair accessible with multiple exhibition areas, restaurants, and a shop throughout. Plan to spend time in all sections, and note that the layout uses clear zones to help you find your way around.
At the center of the building stands a remarkable tree made entirely from Lego bricks, constructed from millions of individual pieces arranged as a structural artwork. This installation immediately draws attention and invites wonder.
