AHHAA, Science center in Tartu, Estonia
AHHAA is a science center in Tartu with over 170 interactive exhibits spread across multiple floors. Visitors can explore different zones dedicated to hands-on learning and scientific discovery.
The center started as a University of Tartu project in 1997 and later became an independent institution. Today it is jointly managed by the city and the university.
The Science Theatre holds regular demonstrations where chemical and physical experiments happen right in front of visitors. You can watch scientists show how nature works through hands-on performances that make science come alive.
The center is located near the downtown area and is accessible by public transportation. Plan to spend several hours to explore the different exhibits at a comfortable pace.
This facility houses the first hybrid planetarium in the Baltic region, blending optical and digital projection technologies. The dome includes a glass section that extends the viewing experience beyond the typical setup.
