York Guildhall, Medieval town hall in City of York, England.
The York Guildhall features late Gothic architecture with intricate stone details, situated along the River Ouse behind the Mansion House.
The construction of this Grade I listed building occurred between 1449 and 1459, serving as a meeting place for York's merchant guilds.
The restored council chamber contains a modern stained glass window by Harry Harvey depicting five periods from York's municipal history.
The building provides office spaces, conference facilities, meeting rooms, and a riverside café through the entrance at St Helen's Square.
During World War II, German bombs destroyed the original medieval hall, leading to its complete reconstruction and reopening in 1960.
