Devil's Punch Bowl, Natural valley in Hindhead, England.
The sandstone depression spans 282 hectares of protected land, featuring steep slopes and dense heathland vegetation at its deepest points.
The geological formation appears on John Rocque's map from 1768, where it received its current name, previously marked as 'ye Bottom' in 1675.
Local tales narrate how the devil dug through the South Downs and leaped into Surrey, creating the bowl-shaped depression in the process.
The National Trust maintains walking trails throughout the site, with designated parking areas and information panels explaining the geological features.
From Gibbet Hill, the highest point at 272 meters, visitors can see London's skyline 38 miles away during clear weather conditions.
