Queen's Wood, Ancient woodland in Haringey, England.
Queen's Wood spans 52 acres of natural landscape with oak and hornbeam trees, creating a dense canopy over numerous walking paths and wildlife habitats.
The woodland, mentioned in the Domesday Book, was purchased from Ecclesiastical Commissioners in 1898 and named after Queen Victoria during its public opening.
The Friends of Queen's Wood organization, established in 1990, coordinates volunteer activities and educational programs about local flora and fauna throughout the year.
Located between East Finchley and Muswell Hill, the woodland remains open 24 hours daily and features information boards along with a cafe for visitors.
The site contains the source of the Moselle River and supports over 100 spider species along with a nationally rare jewel beetle population.
