St Mary's Church, Stamford

St Mary's Church is a medieval church building in Stamford with a tower and tall spire that rises high above the town. The structure features a distinctive profile visible from many parts of the surrounding area.

A window in a side chapel was handcrafted in a workshop in the late 1800s and depicts biblical scenes in unusual detail. The artistic quality of this hand-made work is surprisingly accomplished for a country church.
