Krupe Castle, Renaissance castle ruins in Krupe, Poland

The castle features thick stone walls, arched windows decorated with sgraffito techniques, and remains of a pentagonal bastion in the northern corner.

Built in 1492 by Jerzy Krupski, the castle underwent major modifications by Pawel Orzechowski in the 16th century before Swedish forces damaged it in 1656.

The castle walls display Renaissance architectural elements, including preserved floral sgraffito decorations and remnants of original tile patterns from the nobility period.

Visitors can explore the main castle walls, examine the northern bastion fragments, and walk through the remains of the moat and outer bailey.

A pond next to the northern section of the castle creates a water barrier, continuing the defense system designed in the medieval period.
