Lake Lubotyń extends across 106 hectares with an average depth of 7 meters and reaches its maximum depth at 13 meters in Koło County.
The lake formed during the last ice age when glacial movements carved deep troughs in the landscape of the Kujawy Lake District region.
Local fishing traditions endure at Lake Lubotyń, where generations of residents maintain practices for catching pike, carp, and bream throughout the seasons.
Visitors can access the northern shore beach area for swimming and picnicking, while the western shoreline contains protected orchid species and walking paths.
Three different species of protected orchids grow along the western shore: Dactylorhiza maculata, Dactylorhiza majalis, and Dactylorhiza incarnata.
