Lenin, Nuclear-powered museum ship in Murmansk, Russia.

The Lenin nuclear icebreaker stretches 134 meters in length with a width of 27.6 meters and contains two OK-900 nuclear reactors for propulsion through Arctic waters.

Commissioned in December 1959 as the first nuclear-powered surface vessel globally, Lenin operated until 1989, covering 654,400 nautical miles through northern sea routes.

The vessel now functions as an Arctic Exhibition Center, presenting displays about atomic icebreaker fleets, northern sea routes, and marine nuclear power developments.

Visitors can explore the ship Wednesday through Sunday from 12:00 to 16:00 at Portovy prospect 25, near the central marine station of Murmansk.

During its operational years, Lenin traveled a distance equivalent to three trips between Earth and Moon while guiding thousands of ships through Arctic waters.
