The structure clearly shows its former importance as a noble residence through its characteristic architectural elements.
The estate emerged in the 16th century and changed hands several times, from the Sukin family through the Romodanovsky, Velyaminov-Zernov, and Golitsyn dynasties. Each family left its mark through changes and additions to the property's structures.
