Art Omi, Nonprofit arts center in Ghent, United States
Art Omi occupies 120 acres of land featuring outdoor sculptures, architectural installations, and multiple buildings for creative activities in Columbia County, New York.
Francis J. Greenburger established Art Omi in 1992, transforming a rural property into an international arts center with the opening of Charles B. Benenson Visitors Center in 2008.
The center welcomes thirty international artists, writers, dancers, musicians, and architects each summer for residency programs focusing on creative development and cultural exchange.
The sculpture park remains open every day without entrance fees, while the visitor center provides gallery spaces, conference rooms, and information about current exhibitions.
The architecture residency program at Art Omi stands as the first dedicated program in the United States specifically designed for practicing architects to experiment with physical structures.
