Pero's Bridge, Footbridge in Harbourside, Bristol, England

The curved steel footbridge spans across Bristol Harbor with two horn-shaped structures rising from its deck, connecting Queen Square to Millennium Square.

Opened in 1999, the bridge bears the name of Pero Jones, an enslaved African who lived in Bristol during the 18th century.

The bridge incorporates artistic elements designed by Eilis O'Connell, including sculptural horns that function as structural supports while adding visual interest.

Located near Bristol Aquarium and We The Curious, this crossing point offers direct access to numerous restaurants and entertainment venues along the waterfront.

The bridge functions as a bascule structure, with counterweighted sections that can be raised to allow tall vessels to pass through the harbor.
