Marquess of Anglesey's Column, Memorial column in Llanfairpwllgwyngyll, Wales.
The grey marble Doric column rises 30.5 meters high, featuring a bronze statue of Henry William Paget in his 7th Hussars colonel uniform at its summit.
Built in 1816 to commemorate Field Marshal Henry William Paget's military accomplishments at the Battle of Waterloo, where he led the heavy cavalry charge.
The monument embodies Welsh pride, funded by residents of Anglesey and Caernarvon counties to honor their distinguished military countryman through architectural excellence.
Visitors can climb 115 steps of the internal spiral staircase to reach the viewing platform, which provides views across the Menai Strait and Anglesey.
The installation of the bronze statue in 1860 marked an engineering achievement, utilizing an innovative method without scaffolding designed by local engineer J. Haslam.
