Marble Cave, Natural limestone cave in Gadime e Ulët, Kosovo
The Marble Cave extends through 1260 meters of underground passages, featuring passages with stalactites, stalagmites, and mineral formations throughout its chambers.
A local villager, Ahmet Asllani, discovered the cave entrance in 1966 while working in his garden, leading to subsequent geological research and development.
Scientists and nature specialists regularly conduct research expeditions in the cave to document its geological characteristics and monitor the resident bat populations.
Visitors can access the cave through organized tours that include professional guides and proper lighting equipment to navigate the underground passages safely.
The cave contains three transverse channels in its lower section and two intertwined corridors in the upper section, covering a total area of 56 hectares.
