Fuentes Georginas

Fuentes Georginas is a natural thermal pool complex fed by hot springs from Volcano Zunil, with several bathing areas at different temperatures set among green hillsides. The facility includes various pools of different sizes, changing facilities, lockers, and a restaurant serving Guatemalan food.

Indigenous communities have used these thermal springs for centuries, recognizing their healing power long before the site became a developed attraction. Over time, the area was gradually developed into an organized visitor complex.

Local people here practice traditional healing methods that blend natural minerals with local plants for wellness treatments. You can see these customs still alive among the visitors who gather at the pools.

The site sits on a hillside, so wear good shoes and be ready for paths with some steps. Bring a towel and swimwear, and allow enough time to try the different pools at your own pace.

The waters contain sulfur minerals and stay warm year-round because of underground volcanic activity beneath the site. This consistency makes it a reliable place to visit regardless of the season.
