Tyntesfield, Victorian country estate in Wraxall, England
The Gothic Revival mansion spans across 540 acres of land, featuring ornate architectural details, extensive gardens, woodlands, and formal terraces with flower displays.
William Gibbs acquired the Georgian property in 1843 and transformed it using his fortune from the Peruvian guano trade into the Gothic masterpiece visible today.
The estate contains over 72,000 objects representing the largest collection at any National Trust property, illustrating Victorian upper-class domestic and social practices.
The National Trust manages guided tours, operates two dining venues including the Cow Barn Café, and provides electric mobility shuttles for visitors with reduced mobility.
The private chapel, constructed between 1872 and 1877, reflects the design of Paris's Sainte-Chapelle and houses an original William Hill & Sons organ.
