Museum nostaligisches Landleben

Museum Nostalgisches Landleben is a rural life museum located in a 1766 farmhouse and attached barns in Straden. The spaces contain thousands of objects including farming tools, kitchen equipment, and old furniture that show how people lived and worked in the countryside.

The museum grew from the Wiedner family's passion for collecting rural objects over many years. The collection opened to visitors to preserve the memory of the region's farming traditions.

The museum displays objects from farming families' everyday lives and shows how people worked and lived together in rural areas. The collections help visitors understand which tools and furnishings were essential to country life.

The different areas of the museum are easy to reach on foot and the displays are well marked, so visitors can navigate without difficulty. An attached restaurant offers traditional local food and is a good place to rest after your visit.

Visitors can watch traditional dishes being cooked in the attached Bulldogwirt restaurant using a wood-burning stove. The restaurant also hosts large flea markets twice yearly that draw collectors and curious shoppers.
