Pai Canyon

Pai Canyon features red sandstone formations carved by natural erosion with narrow winding pathways along steep ridges spanning approximately three kilometers of rugged terrain.

While Pai was historically a small peaceful settlement inhabited by hill tribe communities, the canyon gained tourist prominence over recent decades as adventure travel increased.

The area surrounding the canyon preserves traditional hill tribe lifestyle with local agriculture and handicraft making that continues to influence regional culture and tourism development.

The site opens daily from 6:00 AM to 7:00 PM with no entrance fees, accessible by scooter from Pai town center located eight kilometers away.

Visitors can walk along narrow ridges with steep drops on both sides, creating a particularly thrilling hiking experience without safety barriers in many sections.
