Flamingo Beach

Flamingo Beach is a private beach on Renaissance Island located along the Caribbean Sea with white sand and clear waters. Hundreds of pink flamingos wade through the shallow areas throughout the day, making it a unique combination of swimming destination and wildlife habitat.

Renaissance Island was previously an industrial site until it was transformed into a private resort destination in 1991 when the resort expanded its facilities. The redevelopment also brought flamingos to the island, which now serve as its signature feature.

The beach represents a modern blend of tourism and wildlife, where visitors encounter flamingos in a managed setting on a daily basis. This combination draws people seeking both relaxation and close contact with nature.

Access is available only to resort guests or through a day pass that includes boat transportation and all beach amenities. Visitors should arrive early in the morning to avoid crowds and have the best experience with the birds.

Flamingos can be fed between 7 AM and 7 PM with special food from dispensers placed along the beach. This direct interaction with the birds creates memorable moments that visitors often carry with them long after leaving.
