Sommerrodelbahn
The Sommerrodelbahn in Mieders is a toboggan track on a mountain called Serles about 2.8 kilometers long with 40 sharp turns. The ride starts at around 1,620 meters elevation from a cable car station and descends over 640 meters (2,100 feet) while riders can reach speeds up to 42 kilometers per hour (26 miles per hour).
The toboggan run opened in 2004 and quickly became a popular attraction in the Stubai valley. Since its opening it has drawn visitors year after year who want to experience both speed and nature.
The toboggan run is a popular family destination in the Tirol region and draws many visitors on sunny days. The experience combines the enjoyment of a quick ride with time spent in nature and shapes the summer rhythm of the Stubai valley.
The ride operates until early November but closes in rain or when the track becomes too wet for safety. Visitors should wear suitable clothing, follow staff instructions and check ahead to confirm the facility is open for their planned visit.
The track is regularly inspected and maintained, with checks of brake pads, rollers and spring systems each season. Before opening each day staff test a toboggan for proper function and verify everything is safe before visitors begin their ride.
