The foundation was established in 1981 to preserve the artistic legacy of the musician. It has collected archives and materials from his entire career since then.

The three exhibition spaces show different sides of Brel's life and how he was perceived as an artist. Visitors can see how his music and films influenced the people around him.

The museum is located in the old town and opens Tuesday through Sunday from noon to 5:30 pm. It is easily reached by Metro lines 1 and 5.
