The Merkinė Observation Tower is a simple metal and concrete structure standing about 26 meters high on a hill in the small Lithuanian town. From the platform at the top, you can see 360 degrees across the Nemunas Landscape Reserve, the rivers where the Nemunas and Merkys meet, and dense forests stretching to the horizon.
