Jewish Town Hall, Renaissance town hall in Josefov, Prague, Czech Republic
The Jewish Town Hall features a Renaissance architectural structure with a late Baroque facade, standing prominently at the corner of Maiselova Street.
Built in 1577 under Mayor Mordechai Maisel's sponsorship, the building underwent reconstruction after a fire in 1755 led by architect Josef Schlesinger.
The building maintains its function as the administrative center for Prague's Jewish community, representing centuries of Jewish presence in the city.
Located at Maiselova 250/18 in Prague 1, the Jewish Town Hall exterior can be viewed during a walk through the Jewish Quarter.
Two clocks adorn the facade: one with standard Roman numerals, another with Hebrew letters moving counterclockwise as hour markers.
