Císařský kámen, Observation tower in Liberec, Czech Republic
The steel tower reaches a height of 20 meters and features wooden decorative elements along its frame construction at an elevation of 637 meters.
After dismantling the original wooden structure from 2009 due to deterioration, the current steel tower was constructed in autumn 2018 with improved durability.
Orientation plaques at the tower's summit help visitors identify visible mountain peaks and notable landmarks across the surrounding landscape of the Jizera Mountains.
The tower remains open throughout the year, with a seasonal buffet located 500 meters away in the direction of Rádlo providing refreshments and a children's area.
The new structure stands 3 meters taller than its predecessor, incorporating steel construction while maintaining decorative wooden elements that reflect regional architectural traditions.
