Cokato Temperance Hall, Historic clubhouse in Cokato Township, United States.
The Cokato Temperance Hall features a rectangular wood frame structure measuring 25 by 45 feet with a two-story design and front vestibule entrance point.
Built in 1896, the hall was established by Finnish immigrants at Temperance Corner as an alcohol-free social center and received National Register recognition in 1976.
The hall, known as P.R.S. Onnen Tovio Raittiusseura, served as a central gathering place for Finnish Americans to maintain their heritage through plays and community events.
The ground floor contains a single room with a stage, while a northeast corner staircase leads to an unfinished upper level of the building.
Members signed formal pledges to abstain from alcohol consumption, and those who broke their commitment could return only after signing new abstinence agreements.
