Merdeka 118 is a 118-storey, 644-metre megatall skyscraper currently under construction in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Upon completion, it will become the tallest building in Malaysia and Southeast Asia, and the second-tallest building in the world.
The design of Merdeka 118 references and reinterprets the national architectural language of Malaysia's cultural heritage.
The tower will house a retail podium, 83 floors of office space, 12 floors of hotel rooms, and a rooftop restaurant.
The diamond-shaped facade of Merdeka 118 is inspired by the geometric patterns common in Islamic architecture.
