Vallnord

Vallnord is a ski area with 2 separate sectors connected by a large cable car, offering slopes at different elevations and difficulty levels. The terrain ranges from beginner runs to steep descents, providing options for all types of skiers.

Development of this area started in the 1960s when Andorra began building ski infrastructure in the mountains. Over time, facilities expanded and the two sectors were eventually linked, transforming the region into a popular winter destination.

The ski schools at Vallnord employ numerous British instructors, creating an international environment that particularly appeals to English-speaking visitors seeking winter sports education.

Moving between the two areas is straightforward thanks to clear signs and the cable car system. Free shuttle buses connect the different base stations, making it easy to travel around the resort without a car.

The 50-person cable car system integrates the distinct sectors of Pal and Arinsal, allowing skiers to experience different terrains and environments within a single day.
