Khor Virap, Monastery in Armenia
Khor Virap is a significant Armenian Apostolic Church monastery located in the Ararat plain of Armenia, near the border with Turkey.

Visitors can climb down into the pit where Saint Gregory the Illuminator was imprisoned for 13 years.
