Palacio de López, Presidential Palace in Paraguay
The Palacio de los López is the ceremonial workplace of the President of Paraguay, located in the capital city of Asunción.
The initial construction of the palace began in 1857 by Carlos Antonio López, but it was completed by his son Francisco Solano López in 1867.
This iconic building features a blend of architectural styles, including Neoclassical and colonial motifs.
While not open to the public for tours, visitors can walk around the exterior and enjoy its impressive façade and surrounding gardens.
It is said that Francisco Solano López built tunnels under the palace to protect himself during wars.
