Amber Forest Reserve

Amber Forest Reserve is a protected area in northern Madagascar covering about 48 square kilometers with different natural habitats. The land supports many plants and animals found nowhere else on Earth.

This protected area was created in 1958 to safeguard the unique habitats and species found here. Since its founding, it has remained an important conservation site for the country.
