Mandalika International Street Circuit, Race track in Central Lombok, Indonesia.
Mandalika International Street Circuit is a motorsport racing track on Lombok Island in Indonesia. It runs through public roads within a resort area, combining permanent sections with temporarily used pathways.
Construction started in 2019 after Indonesia had not hosted an international motorcycle race for over two decades. The first major race took place in 2022, bringing motorsport back to the island.
The name Mandalika comes from a local legend in Lombok, linking the circuit to the island's cultural roots. Outside race weekends, the site hosts public events and gatherings that bring visitors and residents together.
The site is easiest to access when events are scheduled, as parts of the track run along public roads. On quiet days the surrounding area can be explored, but pits and grandstands remain mostly closed.
Before the 2022 race, the asphalt was reworked using special aggregate shipped from other Indonesian islands. These adjustments changed the grip of the surface and were necessary to meet international safety standards.
