Badut, Hindu temple in Malang, Indonesia
The temple structure measures 17.27 meters by 14.04 meters and features a square main building with four corner rooms made of andesite stone.
Built in 760 CE during the Kanjuruhan Kingdom era, Candi Badut stands as the earliest known temple construction in East Java, Indonesia.
The central chamber contains symbols of Shiva and Parvati, while stone niches along the walls display religious sculptures of Hindu deities.
Located near Ma Chung University, visitors can reach the temple via public transportation AT route from Arjosari Terminal to Tidar district.
The temple faces west and includes three remaining smaller shrine structures surrounded by ancient walls, differing from other East Javanese temples.
