Gympie Pyramid, Archaeological site in Gympie, Australia.

The Gympie Pyramid consists of a sandstone ridge with stone terraces cut into its sides, forming a pyramidal shape north of Gympie.

Early settlers in the 1860s used the site as a quarry for building materials, removing many of the original inscribed stones and architectural elements.

The Kabi Kabi indigenous people name the site Djaki Kundu and maintain its connection to their ancestral traditions and stellar origin stories.

The archaeological site stands 5 kilometers from central Gympie along Tin Can Bay Road, featuring multiple stone terraces and ancient grinding grooves.

Archaeological surveys revealed stone blocks weighing over one ton, contradicting theories about the structure being solely built for agricultural purposes.
