Los Angeles City Hall is a 32-story, 454-foot tall government building located in the Civic Center district of downtown Los Angeles.
Completed in 1928, it has been the center of government for the city of Los Angeles for more than 90 years.
The building's design was influenced by ancient Greek and Roman architecture, symbolizing democracy and western civilization.
It houses the mayor's office, meeting chambers and offices of the Los Angeles City Council.
It was the tallest building in Los Angeles until 1964.
