The Alabama Legislature is the legislative branch of the state government of Alabama.
It was founded in 1818, before Alabama became a state.
The legislature consists of two bodies: the Alabama House of Representatives and the Alabama Senate.
It meets in the Alabama State Capitol in Montgomery.
Alabama is one of the few states that has a part-time legislature.
