Painted Ladies, Victorian and Edwardian houses in San Francisco.

Painted Ladies are a row of colorful Victorian houses located at 710–720 Steiner Street, across from Alamo Square park, in San Francisco.

These houses were built between 1892 and 1896 by developer Matthew Kavanaugh.

The Painted Ladies are often shown in the media as a symbol of the city and are known as 'Postcard Row'.

The best time to photograph the Painted Ladies is in the afternoon when they're lit by the sun.

Despite the 1906 earthquake, these houses survived and are still standing today.
