Coit Tower, Observation tower in San Francisco, California
Coit Tower, also known as the Lillian Coit Memorial Tower, is a 210-foot (64 m) tower in the Telegraph Hill neighborhood of San Francisco, California.
The tower was built in 1933 using Lillie Hitchcock Coit's bequest to beautify the city of San Francisco.
It is an emblematic figure of the San Francisco skyline and offers panoramic views over the city and the bay.
The tower is open to the public and can be ascended by elevator for a fee.
The interior is adorned with murals painted by 27 different artists and numerous assistants.
