Luzon Building, Bank building in downtown Tacoma, United States.
The Luzon Building rises six stories tall at 1302 Pacific Avenue, featuring large plate glass windows and cast iron columns throughout its structure.
Completed in 1891 by architects Burnham and Root, this early West Coast high-rise tower served as the Pacific National Bank until its renaming in 1901.
The building received its name Luzon in 1901, referencing the largest Philippine island during the establishment of American civil government in the Philippines.
The structure contained one elevator and two separate entrances: a first-floor entrance on Pacific Avenue and a second-floor entrance on Commerce Street.
After standing for 118 years as a National Register of Historic Places site, the last remaining structure on its block met demolition in September 2009.
