El Capitan, Vertical rock formation in Yosemite National Park

El Capitan was first climbed by Warren Harding in 1958 after 47 days of effort.

Is known to the indigenous Ahwahneechee people as 'To-to-kon oo-lah', meaning Inchworm rock.

It's a popular destination for rock climbers from all around the world.

It's featured in several films and documentaries, most notably in Free Solo, which records Alex Honnold's unprecedented free solo climb of the wall.
