The ETH Zurich University Archives preserve documents from ETH Zurich, ETH Board, and private papers across 5,220 meters of shelf space.

Established in 1999 under the Swiss Federal Act on Archiving, the archives maintain records dating back to the institution's founding in 1855.

The collection contains papers from notable figures including Albert Einstein, Vladimir Prelog, Hermann Weyl, and C.G. Jung, documenting scientific advancement.

The Reading Room Collections and Archives welcome visitors Monday through Friday from 10:00 to 17:00, requiring advance appointments for material access.

The archives maintain a web archive documenting ETH Zurich's digital presence since 1997, including websites, PDFs, images, and pandemic-related information.
