Welcome to the Thousand Buddha Temple, located on Fenghuang Mountain in Xixian County, Linfen City, Shanxi Province, China. This temple is also known as Xiaoxitian and was designated as a national key cultural relic protection unit in 1996. The Thousand Buddha Temple faces west and sits on the east side of the mountain. The upper courtyard is home to several main buildings, including the Great Hall of the Buddha, the Wenshu Hall, the Puxian Hall, the Beiji Hall, and the Mawang Shrine. The lower courtyard features the Unlimited Hall, the Weituo Hall, the Moyun Pavilion, and the Bagua Pavilion, as well as the Bell and Drum Tower. The Great Hall of the Buddha is five bays wide and six rafters deep, with a single-eave hanging mountain top. Inside the hall, there are over a thousand exquisite clay sculptures of various sizes, which have extremely high artistic value. Visitors can explore the temple's beautiful architecture and learn about its rich history and cultural significance. The Thousand Buddha Temple is a must-visit destination for anyone interested in Chinese culture and history. To get to the temple, visitors can take a bus or taxi from Linfen City. The temple is open daily from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, and admission fees apply. Guided tours are available in English and other languages upon request.
