Taos Pueblo, Ancient dwelling in the United States of America
Taos Pueblo is a living Native American community located at the base of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains.
The community is believed to have been built between 1000 and 1450 AD and is one of the oldest continuously inhabited communities in the US.
Taos Pueblo represents the culture of the Puebloans, known for their multistoried adobe buildings.
Visitors are welcome to explore the Pueblo but are reminded to be respectful as it is a sacred site.
Declared both a National Historic Landmark and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
