Turner Falls, Waterfall in Oklahoma
Turner Falls, at 77 feet high, is the largest waterfall in Oklahoma and a highlight of the Arbuckle Mountains region.
Named after Mazeppa Thomas Turner, Turner Falls was known by the Native American tribes long before its 'discovery' in 1878.
The waterfall and surrounding park serve as a popular camping and picnic area and represent a significant part of Oklahoma's natural heritage.
The site offers several amenities including swimming areas, hiking trails, and cabin rentals.
Inside the park, 'Collings Castle', a stone castle built in the 1930s, provides an unusual attraction to explore.
