Naval Support Activity Bahrain

Naval Support Activity Bahrain is a United States military installation in Manama that serves as the command center for the Fifth Fleet and Naval Forces Central Command. The base includes port facilities, administrative buildings, and residential areas designed to support naval operations and personnel stationed in the region.

The installation originated as HMS Jufair, established by the British Royal Navy in 1935 when Bahrain was under British protection. The United States Navy assumed control following Bahrain's independence in 1971 and developed the base into a strategic command center for Middle Eastern naval operations.
